The main purpose of the role is to form part of a dedicated national information team delivering insights for the charity's services and the
organisation which will include the use of data science and statistical techniques.
You will be part of the team responsible for the development of analytic requirements for the organisation.
You will work closely with colleagues in the Central Data Team and other stakeholders to optimise data analysis methods and you will be genuinely excited about data and want to use it to inform stakeholders of the narrative it reveals. 

 

What you need:

Essential:

  • Sound knowledge of the basic statistical algorithms such as regression,
    clustering and data science best practices.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel.
  • Data analysis and model building for large and complex datasets.
  • Show a capacity to work alone and the ability to keep calm under pressure.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise and produce high
    quality outputs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Education:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics or similar

Bonus if you have:

  • Knowledge and experience of Alteryx
  • Experience of statistical process control
  • Experience in presenting complex information to different groups of people.
  • Evidence of ability to think strategically and find creative solutions.
