Our client is a fast growing UK startup that has been going for over 2 years. They're a very well funded team of 20 situated in the heart of Farringdon, London. They're a vertical search engine, like Skyscanner and Indeed.com. Their mission is to index all the world’s prices and create an open shopping search experience, for everyone.

 

Our client is a consumer brand and this is a B2C marketing role with several channels already active. They’re looking for an experienced marketing professional who has demonstrated success previously in high performance environments and can help lead the next phase of their expansion.

 

You’ll have the power to build the marketing strategy and create the KPIs for the business to deliver a first class user acquisition programme. You will work directly with the founder and management team to make it all happen. The client is an incredibly fast paced operation and their technical capabilities are world class so whatever you need to make a success of this will be fully supported by the entire business.

 

What they are looking for:
 

To keep it simple, they are looking for a hands on specialist who has the confidence to lead their user growth efforts completely from the front, principally:

  • Ability to define, understand and measure their customers’ journeys from acquisition to retention and align the strategy to support the individual steps in that funnel

  • Work with the founder and CxO stakeholders to define the strategy that will support growth

  • Identify and implement new digital marketing opportunities. Test, learn and scale in line with the aggressive company growth strategy.

  • Ability to create a coherent marketing strategy that is more than just the sum of the individual channels

  • Run and track the performance of multi-channel marketing campaigns. Ability to drill into their performance on an individual campaign level to maximise opportunity. Current activity includes Programmatic, Social, PR, Publisher deals, browser extensions and more.

  • Ability to self-service on user analytics and inform the rest of the business on key metrics

  • Work with Product and Tech to help inform the decisions made with user growth and user retention in mind

Key Experience and Knowledge:
  • Experience as a marketing/growth lead/director position ideally from a vertical aggregator type of business.

  • Hands-on experience running campaigns on multiple channels

  • Deep and rich experience with Google Analytics

  • Experience in defining customer metrics and KPIs as well as using them to support user growth in marketing and product
